The Vantec family of products grows with a new powered double 18″ bass!
D.A.S. announces the addition of a new double 18″ subwoofer system to its popular Vantec series of products. The new low-frequency unit is designed for the mobile DJ and portable systems market, where attributes like compact size and high output are especially appreciated.
The Vantec 218A is a powered bass subwoofer system designed to provide extended bass response for the full range of Vantec cabinets. A powerful amplifier drives dual D.A.S. 18LX long-excursion bass loudspeakers, incorporating 4″ voice coils and massive magnet structures for high-power handling.
The Vantec 218A is powered by a Class D amplifier with switch mode power supply, digital signal processing and a 4000 Wpeak power rating. Signal processing for the Vantec 218A is handled by a powerful DSP that provides unparalleled control over critical signal parameters. A rotary-knob interface and LCD screen on the rear of the cabinet make it possible for users to select different configurations. A range of presets and low-pass filters allow the Vantec 218A to be matched acoustically with the Vantec full-range cabinets.
The Vantec 218A cabinet is constructed from high-grade birch plywood and finished in highly resistant ISO-flex black paint for durability. Handles on the sides and rear of the cabinet along with two rear wheels make moving the box a breeze, while a powder-coated steel front grille protects the D.A.S. components inside.
