Fremont, CA… Arista Corporation, recognized globally as a leading manufacturer of AV extenders, matrix switchers, AV MultiViewers, and related products for the AV installation and industrial markets, introduces the E-Vocal Duo Audio over IP product group. Initially announced as part of the Apollo Series, the E-Vocal Duo product group consists of three products: the ARS-0200-A00 analog audio to Dante interface, the ARS-0002-A00 Dante to analog audio interface, and the ARS-0002-A01 interface, which facilitates Lip-Sync delay to enable sound and picture to be synchronized.
The E-Vocal Duo ARS-0200-A00 2-channel analog audio to Dante interface makes it easy to connect one’s legacy audio gear to a Dante networked audio system. This product allows two channels of analog audio to be integrated into a Dante network.
Opposite in function to the E-Vocal Duo ARS-0200-A00, the E-Vocal Duo ARS-0002-A00 converts a Dante stream into two channels of analog audio signal. This interface is handy when, for example, a stereo feed of the performance is needed to feed a conventional sound reinforcement system or is to be recorded.
Arista’s E-Vocal Duo ARS-0002-A01 allows two audio signal outputs of Lip-Sync delay of up to 170 ms/ch (fs = 48 kHz) to synchronize the audio stream to the video stream. The delay control switch can add delay in the range of 0~170ms by 32 increments. The E-Vocal Duo ARS-0002-A01 uses XLR analog outputs.
Arista’s E-Vocal Duo products share a rich feature set. This includes being AES67 compliant, using high resolution 24-bit analog to digital conversion, and they can be powered via PoE (Power over Ethernet) or 5VDC via a Micro USB connector. As Dante-enabled devices, the E-Vocal Duo products deliver bit-perfect audio reproduction and offer super-low latency and sample-accurate synchronization across the entire network. As Dante-enabled products, the E-Vocal Duo products make it easy to use one’s legacy audio gear with any Dante-connected system—delivering the interoperability, performance and scalability that only networking can bring.
Paul Shu, President of Arista Corporation, commented on the company’s new E-Vocal Duo Dante-enabled interfaces. “The E-Vocal Duo interfaces offer a rich feature set, plug and play simplicity, and are a great solution for integrating legacy audio equipment into a Dante networked audio environment. They make a great choice for both installed and location sound applications. I’m confident both audio and video technicians will find these interfaces an exceptional value.”

DAS Audio’s newest line of sound solutions, the Quantum systems feature outstanding speech intelligibility along with aluminum (tops) and wood (subwoofer) enclosures available in a range of sizes and colors. With passive systems Q-3-T, Q-23-T, Q-43-T, and Q-10, and an active system, the Q-10A, the new Q-Series is designed for small- to medium-sized installations, venues with complex acoustics, and as frontfill and under-balcony sound reinforcement.
The Quantum Series is designed as the ideal solution for fixed-installs with complex acoustics because of the systems’ “vertical coverage” technology, making them the perfect choice for responding to a variety of challenges that venues pose, delivering outstanding speech intelligibility and excellent music reproduction as a result. The series was designed with restaurants, museums, hotels, cultural centers, conference rooms, shopping centers, and stations in mind, and availability in a range of colors means the systems can either play a prominent role in the décor or blend seamlessly with their surroundings.
The Q-3, Q-23, and Q-43 measure 10.5 x 12.6 x 12.5 cm, 18.8 x 12.6 x 12.5 cm, and 35.4 x 12.6 x 12.5 cm respectively, are manufactured with an aluminum enclosure, and can incorporate the IP-54 kit when required. Available in any RAL color (minimum order of units required).
The Q-3 has two operating modes (voice and music) that guarantee superb sound in any acoustic environment. The Q-23 and Q-43 have a system-integrated filter that makes it possible to control the system’s vertical dispersion lobe by 70º/90º and 30º/45º, respectively, thus managing and reducing the reverb.
The Q-10 (passive) and Q-10A (active) are subwoofers with a 40 Hz – 200 Hz frequency range, designed in an ultra-compact, low-profile birch plywood enclosure available in black or white. The Q-10A system is equipped with a Class D switched-mode amplifier, with two signal inputs, variable low-pass filter, and parameter adjustment (deep/loud) with DAScontrol technology. Low frequency clarity and reproduction make this an unbeatable system for delivering outstanding music reproduction.
To ensure peak system performance, reliability, and durability, DAS Audio recommends that only its electronics be used with this series. The DSP-226 digital processor and both versions of the IA amplifier (400 watts and 1000 watts) are the perfect match for the Quantum Series.

Streetwise Sales is excited to announce the addition of leading microphone manufacturer CAD Audio to our line card for the Metro New York area.
About CAD Audio
CAD Audio originally took shape as the Astatic Corporation in 1931, founded by C.M. Chorpening and F.H. Woodworth, two ham radio operators who needed a static-free microphone for their transmitters. They worked with local engineers to develop the company’s first crystal radio microphone, the model D-104.
Having overcome the problem of static—hence the company name “Astatic”— and improved the quality of radio transmitter microphones in general, Chorpening and Woodworth went on to incorporate in 1933 and develop a line of innovative crystal mics, phonograph pickups and recording heads. Astatic also made significant contributions to the allied effort in World War II with an underwater sound detection hydrophone and static-discharger for Army and Navy aircraft.
Now known as Astatic Commercial Audio Products, the company has evolved into a successful manufacturer of commercial microphones for a wide variety of industrial applications. Astatic microphones can be found in restaurants, airports, churches, schools, and corporate boardrooms worldwide. Their ongoing success is based on Variable Pattern Technology available in hanging, gooseneck, and boundary types. The pick-up patterns can be controlled on the microphone, by using the remote pattern control box or through some of the industries’ most popular digital signal processors.
CAD Audio offers many series of products:Recording, CADLive Products, Astatic Commercial, USB, Headphones, and Wireless Microphone & IEM Systems. These offerings will further grow and evolve as the company continues to build on over 85 years of innovation and success in the audio industry.
CAD (Conneaut Audio Devices) Professional Microphones was initially formed in 1988 as the Pro Audio division of the company to design and manufacture microphones for the recording and live sound markets, segments not served by Astatic. Initially, CAD introduced a revolutionary servo circuit console and breakthrough processing products, then went on to develop a series of innovative and cost-effective high performance studio microphones. These included the highly acclaimed E100, E200 and E300 Equitek Series mics that literally defined the project studio revolution of the late 1980s and early 1990s.
More recent CAD developments include the introduction of the CADLive 3000 Series Wireless Systems, StageSelect IEM and the GXLV & GXLU Dual Channel Wireless Systems.
